Otomodelation is one of EIMEC’s training courses, where the innovative technique of the international reference Eric Furtado is used.
Almost 15 years ago he developed a minimally invasive technique with definitive results to correct one of the conditions that have a high negative impact on self-esteem and can even affect the emotional and social development of a person. Protruding ears, or protruding ears as they are also known, are a condition where the ears protrude from the head more than normal, and although they do not represent a threat to health, this appearance often becomes a condition that affects the emotional quality of life of people.
Brazilian doctor Eric Furtado is a pioneer in the technique of otomodeling, an intervention that does not require surgery and can be performed at any age. Last April, with the visit of this international reference in the clinic’s offices, EIMEC incorporated otomodelation to its more than 50 training programs. With a quota of 4 students per course, this training has a duration of three days and 24 hours of training, of which a total of 20 are destined to practice, always under the One to One method.

“It is a pleasure to join an institution of reference in teaching in Barcelona such as Eimec,” said Furtado during his visit to the institution, where he gave a talk and guided the aesthetic medicine professionals during the procedures performed on several patients, both young men and women. The results obtained were not only satisfactory, but there were also tears of emotion and hugs among those who underwent the treatment. After the ear pinning, the patients looked at themselves in the mirror and were amazed to see that their (former) prominent ears were no longer the first thing that attracted attention to their face. “The ear is connected to the complete harmony of the face, and can cause anything from discomfort to emotional trauma from teasing and disrespectful nicknames that these people receive,” assures Furtado, who is also a specialist in orofacial harmonization.
The specialist, founder of the institute of the same name in Brazil, began performing this innovative method almost 15 years ago. Since 2020, the minimally invasive technique that I have developed provides definitive results, taking the patient out of a surgical center,” explains Furtado. Recovery is simple and calm, with no need for hospitalization or absolute rest. All that is required is a restriction of physical activity for 5 days and avoidance of exposure to dusty or hot environments.
Otomodeling is a practice suitable for adults and children, starting at six years of age. Therefore, Furtado recommends that, if necessary, it be performed in early childhood, before a child begins to feel insecure and emotional problems arise that are related to the appearance of his or her ears. So far, Dr. Eric Furtado has performed more than 5,000 procedures on women and men.

Only 4 students per course
Completely personalized: practice groups of 2 students.
The non-surgical otomodeling course has an eminently practical approach, introduced with a brief theoretical explanation and developed in depth while practicing on real patients.
Practice on real patients with the ONE TO ONE system.
During the practice, the student is the protagonist, and the expert will bring his experience in treatment protocols and techniques that will be of great help to address the otomodelación safely.
